Pooh dropped one big one and one little one, and the big one came out first, which was what he had said it would do… and when he went home for tea, he had won 36 and lost 28, which meant that he was - that he had - well, you take 28 from 36, and THAT’S what he was. ~A.A.Milne
“Shall I look?” said Pooh, who was beginning to feel eleven o’clockish. He found a small tin of condensed milk, and something seemed to tell him that Tiggers didn’t like this, so he took it into a corner by itself, and went with it to see that nobody interrupted it. ~A.A.Milne

The last of October’s birth flowers is the marigold. Its sun-like flowers have the power to strengthen and comfort the heart, and cure melancholy. A spoonful of marigold jam taken at breakfast each morning will protect you from witches & enable you to see fairies. #FolkloreSunday
Antarctica:

Cosmos are another birth flower for those born in October. Their name comes from the Greek “κόσμος”, meaning order, harmony or adornment. Perhaps inspired by their name, and the balanced shape of the flowers, cosmos have come to symbolise harmony and perfection. #FlowersOnFriday
