Today concludes the countdown! BC won last years Beanpot over NU, 2-1, in comeback fashion with 2 goals in the 3rd period from Kristyn Capizzano and Erin Connolly. Connolly was named the tournament MVP and Northeastern goaltender Brittany Bulgalski received the Bertagna award.

Let’s flashback to 1981...
Boston University wins its first and only Beanpot as a club team, defeating NU in the first rounds, and BC in the championship game by a score of 4-0. Lisa Whitcomb becomes the first Terrier to be named tournament MVP.

3 DAYS! In 2015, Harvard beat BC 3-2 in the title game, handing BC their first loss of the season having come into the championship 27-0-1. Mary Parker had 3 points (1g,2a) in the contest. Emerance Maschmeyer was named the tournament MVP and given the Bertagna award.

In 2013, Northeastern wins its second consecutive title, defeating BC 4-3, held at Matthews Arena. Kendall Coyne was named MVP and Chloe Desjardins was awarded the Bertagna Award. This is the last time Northeastern won the Women’s Beanpot. Who will win this year?!

Jennifer Botterill (Harvard '03) is the all-time leading scorer in the Women's Beanpot with 29 total points (16g,13a). Hillary Witt (NU '01) holds the assist record with 18. Molly Schaus (BC '11) backstopped BC to 3 titles and is the only goalie to win the Bertagna Award 3 times.
