Indonesian trade data revealed that Indonesia has continued importing products from Israel despite growing public calls to boycott Israel amid the genocide in Gaza.

According to the data, the value of Indonesian imports from Israel increased from around $22 million in 2023 to more than $54 million in 2024, despite the absence of official diplomatic relations between the two sides.

The report noted that imports declined by nearly 27% in 2025, but began rising again in 2026, reflecting the continuation of trade relations through companies and the private sector.

Al-Qassam Brigades published a video of the famous “stylish fighter.”

His aunt conveyed a message he used to repeat before his death. She said he bought his weapon with his own money to avenge his father. According to his aunt and his friends, these were his words:

“I am my father’s shadow, his revenge that has continued for 30 years.

I am my father’s footsteps that turned the tanks of our killer into wreckage and his soldiers into torn bodies. You have seen some of our might in style, but the story has hidden details that I will tell. Its title is ‘My Father’s Legacy.’

I am the son of Hisham. Ask the grandfather of my killer about him. He will tell you about the fighter who was the first to strike the occupation in Khan Younis, when he opened fire on the occupation camp at the Khan Younis Police Station 30 years ago. They were the first bullets of revenge from the weapons that marked the beginning of the pursuit of the first Al-Qassam fighters in Khan Younis. My father was one of them.

I am the son of the wanted man, whom I bid farewell in October, the month that always carried a lump in my throat since I took a final look at my father in 1992 after his epic battle in Khan Younis.

Some commentators continue to proffer the inaccurate claim that various negotiation positions—be it the 25 February 2025 agreement to exchange the 20 prisoners of war held in Gaza for 1,950 Palestinian prisoners or today’s signing of the preliminary agreement concerning stage two of the “20-point plan”—are the byproduct of Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt exercising pressure on Hamas. This claim is anchored in what is described as “an unnamed US official close to the negotiations” who has added that the advance in negotiations was precipitated by threats from the mediators to cut funding to Hamas (adding that recent sanctions on Hamas members were of significance); the source in question is likely Bishara Bahbah, the Palestinian-American Trump envoy whom resistance platforms “Stay Aware” and “Pursuit of the Fifth Column” have repeatedly described as serving as a propagandistic mouthpiece for the occupation’s positions, interpolating the latter’s statements as those espoused by the resistance. It is undoubtedly the case that these mediators have exercised pressure on Hamas in the past in attempts to “socialize” it, as detailed by Tarek Hamoud, “Socializing Hamas: Evaluating the Structural Political Developments in the Islamic Palestinian Resistance Movement as a Ruling Authority Between 2006-2017”, University of Exeter Doctoral Thesis, 2023. One marked example is Qatar’s intercession in the April 2019 Great March of Return negotiations; older examples include the 23 April 2014 “Shati Agreement.” This strategy of containment has earned the mediators monikers “the Axis of Moderation.” However, the negotiation track pursued through Tufan al-Aqsa has been anchored in a communal decision-making process in which various resistance factions consult with mukhtars and village councils. It is simply not the case that any outside mediator could trump the will of the Gazan masses. This is, in fact, a point underscored by Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim al-Madhoun (the Gaza-based academic and Hamas political figure who formerly served as head of the Gaza government’s Civil Service Bureau and headed Hamas’s Refugee Affairs Department) in his 10 July 2026 appearance on Youssef Fares’ “Haki al-Bilad” podcast (based in Gaza City).

Quick comments on the migration gates Morocco opened on Spain:

1- Ceuta and Melilla are originally Moroccan. They were occupied by Spain. However, if elections were held among the native Arab residents of Ceuta and Melilla, the overwhelming majority would choose Spain.

Not only that, if elections were held in any city in North Africa and its residents were given the choice between joining Spain or remaining part of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, or Egypt, they would choose to become part of Spain.

Because that would free them from their failed authoritarian regimes, which have failed even to build hospitals or schools, or even allow them freedom of expression about their own miserable living conditions.

Those residents would say:

“Why should I take the risk and possibly die in the Mediterranean? Migration has come to my home.”

2- The migration issue has always been used by these unelected, authoritarian regimes, whose only legitimacy comes from Western recognition, as a pressure card.

Since there is no doubt that the Moroccan police are complicit in opening the border gates, this does not elevate the Moroccan regime. Rather, it shows that its own citizens want to escape its hell and its failure.

3- There is no doubt that Israel and the anti-immigration Trump administration have a hand in this. The evidence is the celebration by media outlets and accounts affiliated with Israel and the right wing, which are sharing these videos and describing them as an “invasion.”

Morocco is a country that normalized relations with Israel, has joint military cooperation with it, and Trump recognized the disputed Western Sahara as part of Morocco. None of that comes without a price, especially after Spain’s positive stance on Gaza and the Palestinian cause.

4- The ruling institutions in France, Spain, and Italy should understand that the peoples of North Africa want nothing more than to live with dignity in their own homelands, and that the only thing capable of stopping migration from North Africa is not the repressive regimes that use it as a pressure card, but hope for these peoples in their own countries.

If the peoples of North Africa rid themselves of these repressive regimes, this would not only stop migration, but would also open the door for the voluntary return of migrants in Europe who fled the hell of these regimes.

The peoples of North Africa are not hostile to Spain because it stood with the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination. Rather, if there were a government that comes from the will of the people, this would serve as a motive for building relations based on mutual respect and mutual benefit.
