Actor and singer Park Jihoon has revealed that he wants to step away from the righteous and kind-hearted characters he has portrayed so far and challenge himself with a full-fledged antagonist role.

Following his performances as Yeon Si Eun in Weak Hero and King Danjong in The King’s Warden, Jihoon shared that he is eager to explore a darker side of acting. Speaking about the type of role he wants to try next, he said: “I want to be the most evil person in the world. So far, most of my characters have always stood up for what's right, so I'm curious what it'd feel like to play a character who's truly bad.”

Jihoon explained that he is particularly interested in seeing how audiences would react if he successfully portrayed a villain capable of making viewers genuinely angry whenever he appeared on screen.

Elaborating further, he said: “You often see actors who play antagonist characters in dramas to the point where the moms watching get all emotional and pissed off too. I'm curious how people would see me if I played a character like that. I also want to know what it'd feel like to portray someone that evil and how I could express it.”

The actor added that he is fascinated by the challenge of bringing such a character to life and understanding the emotions required to convincingly portray a truly villainous figure. His comments have already sparked interest among fans, many of whom are curious to see him take on a darker and more complex role in a future project.
