thanks to @SarahASantiago for teaching me about twitter lists in a webinar on applying to residency! Excited to learn more about OBGYN residency programs!
@AyeshaYakubu You got this! 💪 hoping you will be as fortunate as I have been in finding an awesome research mentor who loves working with med students!
@AyeshaYakubu You got this! My biggest surprise on my surgery rotation was that we rarely close with simple interrupted. I was so ready for that and then my preceptor asked me to close with a running subcuticular 😂🤦🏻♀️
Anyone else wish that all radiology images come with arrows and labels to tell me what I’m looking at? A week into neuro and I still don’t know how to read the head CT. 🙈#MedTwitter
Finished my first inpatient rotation on #peds! Thanks to the @MAHECwnc residents for teaching me a new EMR, sharpening my presentation skills on rounds, and showing me the ins and outs of an inpatient service! #MedStudentTwitter

Wow. Powerful research from @CatawbaCounty shows how easily & rapidly COVID-19 spreads in our communities:
•~24 people attend a family gathering w/o masks & w/o social distancing
•14 people tested positive afterwards
•Before they showed symptoms, the virus spread to 41 others
Breaking:
Governor Roy Cooper is making face masks mandatory in North Carolina.
He is also extending Phase 2 for another three weeks. (Some wondered if NC would move to Phase 3) #ncpol
Nice article here on the level of dysfunction medical students have experienced in scheduling their USMLE exams at Prometric testing centers this spring.

Some anecdotes are illustrative:
From the NBME today.
They remain consistent in saying that USMLE Step 1 will not become pass/fail before January 2022...
...but they remain vague on whether examinees who receive scores before January 2022 will continue to have them reported afterward.
Covering your face is about helping others. WEAR a cloth face covering. By covering your face when you go out for essential reasons, you are being a good neighbor and community member.
