No I don't think he knew. If he knew whistling would have that effect, he wouldn't have needed to break the connection.

As much as I understand what Nawab is going through, this scene is too out of character for him. Nawab we know would NEVER do that.

It was one thing when he didn't know. But he's looking at this and still not thinking why Heer is so scared and defeated???? #TuJulietJattDi

@dreamyakb I agree. They should have handled it better. And I do blame them for not showing them happier and without all the issues. But this leap seems very fresh. They are handling it much better than previous ones, so I am hopeful.

Nawab, who used to be a walking kaleidoscope, with his bright and colorful jackets, shoes, even watches - is now completely bland from head to toe. He's still handsome. But it's like he hates everything that represents life

Heer and Nawab immerse themselves in water, trying to relive the memories but also forget; trying to find peace but also not to breathe because even that's painful. Amazingly shot & edited, but also incredibly devastating to watch them in such absolute pain
