My Landlord hasn't been around for a while now.
He got back this evening and started buzzing my phone. I woke up thinking something had happened, only for me to open my door and find him standing there with a bottle of brandy.
He said the weather calls for a fine brandy and poured me a glass.
Na him first start now o!
I picked her up. Got home. Parked. Entered korupe to Ajah to pick up my licence.
One of my many experiences with the police.
You can't experience them and have any iota of likeness or respect for them.
Someday perhaps, I'll talk about the ALAUSA people.
A couple of weeks ago, I was out driving. Had my temporary driver's licence on me. Got to a Police checkpoint and was pulled over. One of them asked for my car papers. I obliged. Next thing I heard was: "oga, your TEMPORARY DRIVER'S LICENSE don expire".

So I went to get some keys at Adeniji in Lagos today. On my way back, I passed through Oshodi and a police officer stopped me. He seized the sack bag containing the keys and asked for a receipt.
I immediately called the person I bought them from to send it. He tried speaking with the officer, but the network was bad, so the call didn’t go through properly. The officer insisted on seeing a receipt, so I told the seller to send it while I waited.
While waiting, the officer started threatening me, saying if I knew what was good for me, I should stop wasting time and just give him money. I refused and told him I’d show him the receipt instead.
When the receipt was finally sent, he refused to even check it. He claimed police don’t check phones anymore and said he was only being calm with me because I’m a young boy, implying he could make things worse for me.
After delaying me for so long and considering I still had a long distance to go, I had no choice but to give in. He refused transfer and told me to use a POS machine behind him. I ended up paying him 5k.
the previous encountered issue quoted hasn’t been resolved after 2weeks and now i have experienced another similar incident. I will be filing formal petitions and taking legal action.
I will be filing:
•A petition to the Commissioner of Police
•A petition to the Police Service Commission
•A petition to the National Human Rights Commission
•And a Fundamental Rights Enforcement case in court
...from her. I quietly called the lady that sent the licence, asked her if I was going to need the expired licence in order to get the new one. She told me to leave the idiots and come and get my license.
I entered my car and drove off. Had to pick my 4 year old from school.
@Row_Haastrup When you have a good understanding of the Bible and are supported by the spirit of discernment, you'll know when to give to the poor and when to sow into the lives of men of God.
They're both scriptural and, Yeah Apostle is Right.
