@MervoCS Yes BlocksCAD is a great way to teach OpenSCAD. I would start with TinkerCad and then let students that are really keen on design to try out BlocksCAD. They will immediately see the advantage script modeling.
@MervoCS Happens to the best of us, I once recorded an entire lesson for distance learning without sound. I love discussing JIT manufacturing with my classes-- advantages/disadvantages, it is a paradigm shift in how we think about manufacturing.
A NS: Engineering classes are very hands-on and difficult to put online. I am going to have to rely on free online design programs like Tinkercad to get through next year. #isteten#arvr3d
@RebekahSDavis This is a valid concern. I think having VR sets available from school libraries makes them accessible to the whole school and also puts someone in charge of upkeep, they can also encourage the use of the equip.
A5: There are grants available, we have purchased 4 printers at my school through grants. Applying is usually not to bad, folks want to get devices out to schools.

A4: 3d printers are finicky, it takes a little time to get to know your printer so that you are able to troubleshoot and predict what will print well and what will be tough to print. There are plenty of folks willing to help online, seek out help early and often! #ARVR3D#isteten
A3: I have students print out components for engineering projects, parts that would be impossible to produce without a printer. You can also print out replacement parts that are expensive or difficult to find. #ARVR3D#isteten
