I’m glad you’re in that area often. I don’t normally go downtown. I don’t go to flowing wells. There was nothing closer to me. That’s an issue for people without cars.

@PimaRecorder Not only that but one of the locations listed, his presence church, had over 30 people dropping off ballots. And we were treated to a diatribe about not going downtown because we would be shot and you know how “those people” are in south Tucson so we should avoid there too.

Another year, another set of issues trying to vote in Tucson. The list of voting locations on the website are so out of date. I’m on to my 4th location. The now closest location to my house is a 25 minute drive. How is someone on a bus supposed to navigate this @PimaRecorder ?!

@PimaRecorder Except it doesn’t. The most prominent link is to 2022 polling locations. When I went to find my district, there was zero links to where I could vote. In the end, regardless of the website, my closest polling location was 25 minutes via car. That is a massive barrier to voting.

Simply put - there was 000 chance someone in a wheelchair would’ve fit through that gate let alone made it through that gravel let alone up 2 inches onto the sidewalk to finally access the ramp. There were so many barriers to voting at my new spot for someone w/ mobility issues.

I dropped my ballot off at my new polling place only to cross gravel lot after going through super narrow gate to then step up onto sidewalk to finally have ramp. Complaint filed bcuz everyone should get to vote easily, especially for the disability-focused ballot initiatives.

This is really great news. I’m curious as one that does not have FMD, no emotional trigger, and no genetic predisposition (so it appears my circumstances are not covered in study participants), what my outcomes will be but I’ll view any reduction as a good thing.

My dad died in September and just as I feel like I’m starting to heal, something like this comes along. My dad was always dada because of Willow. This was our thing. We wore out so many vhs. And I can’t help but think that he would be so excited for the new Willow to come out.
