Regarding option #1 - could Brock have expected Cowing to follow through on his route and attempt to catch that ball? I don't think Brock is the type of teammate and leader to specifically call his WR out publicly on something like this. It will probably get addressed behind closed doors.

I was walking my dog yesterday and bumped into a neighbor who I frequently talk football with. Purdy came up and he made a passing comments about Purdy being middle-tiered QB. I didn’t respond but thought to myself: “he hasn’t been paying attention and has bought into the numerous years of the media’s propaganda.”

As a Niners fan I’m so stoked on Brock’s humility and skillset. I’ll enjoy watching him hopefully take us to the Promised Land. LFG.
