@TomPMarshall The age difference is irrelevant. The time together and memories together is not.
So many messages on here echo my thoughts (but express it better), but I’d just say to allow yourself to be yourself through your grief process.
I am voting to get the Tories out…
For my grandma:
Who died alone of Covid in hospital, separated from her family. Her last words forever lost.
For my Dad:
Who underwent cancer treatment in hospital alone. Putting on a brave face so his family would think he’s okay.
For my NHS colleagues:
Who put their lives at risk to care for Covid patients, armed with only flimsy masks & bin bags for PPE
We died alone, suffered alone, grieved alone….
Whilst the Tories laughed at us & partied
They fucking partied!!
I will never forget & never forgive
Let’s obliterate them in this election!
@PadraigMacA@drjamiegreen@BMA_GP Wrong. In 2010 spending was considerably higher. We are now 20-30% below the EU average. We are encountering new issues in the Health Service that we haven’t seen in 50+ years. These are not lifestyle changes they are caused by deliberate cutbacks by the Conservatives.
@PadraigMacA@drjamiegreen@BMA_GP Utter nonsense. The problem is caused by a reduction in funding not citizens taking less care of themselves than 10 years ago.
@bt_uk as a telecoms provider are a complete joke, >10 weeks and still not getting a full broadband service. Anyone recommend #gigaclear or similar?
We've had 5000 days of Tory Rule today 😳 I've done some maths
🔹Since May 2010, the
NATIONAL DEBT HAS INCREASED,
on average,
by a staggering
£380 MILLION A DAY
- EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR #5000DAYS
Which begs the question....
Where has all our money gone?
I wouldn't trust the Tories with my shopping list, let alone the economy 😡
FACTS
David Cameron became PM, after Gordon Brown, on May 11th 2010, 5000 days ago.
In June 2010 he said the national debt was £770 billion (other sources quote £903 billion, but I'll use HIS £770 billion for the calculation)
By end Nov 2023 the National Debt had grown to a colossal £2,670 billion (Source:ONS)
That's an increase of £1,900 billion.
Divide that by 5,000 days of Tory Rule and gross mismanagement.
It means an increase, on average, of c£380 million every single day for 5,000 days.

⚠️This is huge.
There have been 12 Never Events linked to PAs in Scotland. Scotland has *143* PAs
The NHS had 407 NEs (likely mostly doctors) in a year. The UK has 376,000 docs
If PA NE ratio was extrapolated to doctors that’d be 31,552 Never Events
What’s coming is scary
☠️
Liam Byrne, "In one year, a company that has bought 110 acres for £1 an acre is now turning over £143 million, and shovelling £50 milling out to private shareholders. Are you confident we have secured best value for taxpayers?"
Michael Gove, "You're asking me a question about this particular issue, which an investigation is currently looking at in detail"
LB, "Do you have full confidence in Ben Houchen's conduct in this matter?"
MG, "I do, yes. I have the highest regard for him"
➡️ The 110 acres was bought by a company 90% owned by friends and close associates of Ben Houchen at £1 an acre. Ben Houchen is Tees Valley Mayor and he was nominated to sit in the House of Lords by Boris Johnson ⬅️
Thank you @bt_uk almost 2 hours spent on the phone (this is only one of two calls today) and after 5 weeks you’ve still no idea why my internet working. 🙄
@implausibleblog ICBs are facing a demand to rescue costs by 30%. The gov’t are not supporting the NHS like it should. I’m seeing cut backs in many areas because of a lack of funding.
Leslie passed away at the weekend, please watch this video and let’s make him live on, that’s what it means to Love your football club 👍. Every time I watch it I shed a tear of joy, to share in his magical moment was, well just magic, tonight it’s a tear tinged with sadness. 🙏
BREAKING
@UNICEF report today on child poverty in 39 countries in 2014-2021.
UK has seen HIGHEST INCREASE in children living in poverty in all countries at almost 20%.
Most countries decreased their numbers.
Tories only care for themselves.
Report https://t.co/5wUcprpUFn
Tories want to use state powers to look into our bank accounts...
Apparently to prevent fraud
They reckon this could save £500m over the next 5 years
Now imagine how much we'd save if instead, we spied on their accounts & their tax-avoiding pals
...just a tad more than £500m.
