i cant even watch or read interviews about the show anymore coz each time i go wtf is rolin and hannah talking about?? like genuinely, did they just put on their rolin and hannah glasses and read that vampire lestat book through the filter of their own delusion
that one scene in season 1 where lestat talks about his childhood at the dpdl dinner table is a better book-to-screen interpretation of the tvl book than the entirety of s3
of this show this season? coz i thought they really wanna tell the story of lestat? i feel like ive seen him more on stage and having absolutely insignificant twitter language infused convos with people around then witnessing his journey as a character
all other criticism aside for a sec-the season even fails to tell a complete story about lestat both in the past&present day. what was the journey he actually went on this season, it seems he ended exactly where he started and they just had us suffer through #tvlspoilers
episodes of what felt like reel montages stuck together, new, weekly written, characters that both were given too much space while at the same time being insignificant and promptly abandoned, as if they never played a part in the story. what was the actual motive of the creators
whole lestat scene at the dinner table in ep7 was full of stuff we have seen and heard several times before, the same flashbacks played over and over again. i get it, i get he comes back to those moments but i am seeing&hearing the same thing for the nth time in a season of
still watching..YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME. DID THEY REALLY HAVE LOUIS SAY THAT IT WAS HIS ‘COLDNESS’ & ‘DENIAL’ THAT DRIVE ARMAND TO DO THIS TO HIM #tvlspoilers like are u being serious rn. louis getting abused and tortured by his lovers is always his fault? are we really doing this
have not interacted is such a weird writing choice. louis’ head is severed, regina is being tortured and armand is coming off cartoonish villain and suddenly hes past abused is brought up and hes breaking down in tears. it feels cheap, underserved, badly done
armand using ‘rest’ as a command for others to k*ll themselves seems like another thing where writers saw the fans liking something (DM rest scene) and decided to bring it back multiple times thinking we will go ‘omg look hes doing THAT thing’ #tvlspoilers
Let’s make Armand the epitome of evil with seemingly no motivations that would explain his actions and let’s make Lestat a misunderstood kitten who has never done anything wrong ever and anything he DID do wrong was bc of Akasha’s blood, his aloof husband or his sex-crazed mom
i cant watch the after dark episodes they give me even less hope for the faith of this show. what do you mean ‘louis the pimp, armand the sex slave’ as explanation of the writing choices and why louis is apologising to armand was always the one to hold power in that relationship
im still confused. im aware of louis actions in the past seasons, and i am very confused why armand was written to do all this to him while it was lestat who publicly humiliated him and lestat&his band & the great conversion that armand was up against #iwtv#tvlspoilers
