I think if you can open something unique that other games can''t do then 1000% yes lol; especially if you allow some type of creativity like Robloxian Highschools Avatar editor; or Bloxburgs house creation. Inf content and money farm
But if u cant gather a unique platform then its not nearly as worth it and often times will take a buncha effort with 0 return
@bockion@CreatorIntelRBX What's ur current approach for the sequel? if your first version had no success, you need to hone in on why and make it a priority
Always ask for portfolios or past work; and prioritize people who have previously been somewhere similar.
For example if you are making a Studded game, don't hire a Simulator modeller; because they wont be nearly as good as someone who is familiar with that style.
Or if you are making an FPS, don't hire a tycoon front end contributor, hire someone who has experience with PVP frameworks or experience with similar themes
I always advice to start solo and become somewhat of a jack of all. It makes managing teams later on super easy cuz u have a full understand of what is and isnt reasonable to ask for, as well as u can hands on help when needed.
Literally best course is having an intermediate understanding of every stem of creatives [Backend+Frontend, UI, Modelling, Animation, Particlex/VFX, Sounds/Music], and then honing in on 1 or 2 that you like the most.
@Inv1sDev@CreatorIntelRBX Honestly depends on the situation. If ur willing to drop 100k robux then fuck it expedite the engagement requirement; because its ridiculously hard to reach that checkpoint for a lot of games.
seeing people enjoy my creations, and seeing people live their own stories in my world is so amazing and its addicting, honestly.
The only reason i dropped fisch is because prior to release; i opened it for a couple friends for 24 hours. i thought itd last like an hour before dying off and them going abt their day. However, it eventually spiraled into like 20 friends of friends playing it all day and literally falling in love. Seeing them engage with Fisch, seeing them resonate with my world and NPCs, it was so addicting and i needed more of it.
tl;dr. I love hearing ppls feedback lol
- Create your own content on your game. Trailers, teasers, memes, everything.
- Contact content creators who reflect your game positively and attempt to create a natural flow of short form content on the game
- Good branding. super important.
- Make a good game, of course. Easier said than done
This is of course difficult, but if others see success in your game you can find investors who will give you lump sums of $ for small %'s; you can also hire people off % instead of wages, which has pros and cons but one pro is it doesn't require upfront payment.
I personally would find investors; or ways to crowd source the game like fundraisers or testing sessions intended to crowd fund the project
I love how mixed the replies are here lol
I wouldnt dream of doing a Fisch 2 unless i felt there was real value in both co-existing; which there honestly wouldnt be.
I am interested in re-doing some islands, and overhauling our artstyle slightly. So genuine feedback on fisch's art/map would be dope
