They performed together in the late-1980s group Strictly Dope (based in the Santa Rosa/Marin City area)‼️. They frequently wrote rhymes for each other as part of their collaborative process‼️💯.

DJ Akademiks reacted to clips from Poetik Flakko and other YouTubers discussing alleged witness statements tied to the ongoing investigation into the murder of Drakeo the Ruler.

According to the discussion, Drakeo’s security guard allegedly told investigators that YG and members of his security team were present during the altercation that led to Drakeo being fatally stabbed.

The claims have drawn attention because YG recently rapped that he was nowhere near the fight, saying he was preparing to perform on stage. Poetik Flakko questioned that version of events, pointing to video that allegedly shows YG’s personal security guard squaring up with Drakeo’s brother, Ralfy the Plug, during the melee.
