Brilliant morning with Worcestershire Wildlife Student Volunteer Group. Learning all about surveying for dormice and other mammals. Blackhouse Woods was stunning in the glorious sun, and we made over 22 biological records (including spotting some gorgeous brimstone butterflies)

Learning all about surveying for the jewel-like Noble Chafer beetle on our recent training workshops. A good eye for spotting suitable tree nooks and hollows, a long-handled ice cream spoon and a love of droppings (aka frass) is all you need! #biologicalrecording #hlf

Lovely, if a little soggy, morning surveying for #dormice at @WorcsWT Blackhouse Wood reserve. 11 nests found in nest boxes and 1 adult, male dormouse weighing 24g. We had Woodmouse and a Yellow necked too – all great mammal records for the area #RareMalvernsWildlife #HLF

Training members of Cradley and Storridge Parish Council’s Environment Working Group to search and identify dormouse nibbled nuts across the parish. Guess what we found?! A #dormouse nibbled nut! A great new record for the coppice. Let’s get hunting for more! #HLF #Wildlife

Nice afternoon out with Ledbury Nats who are surveying Adhisthana Buddhist centre nr Coddington. Highlights include Elephant Hawk moth caterpillar, red legged shield bug, and stone parsley. Some great expertise to help survey the Herefordshire part of our Rare Malvern's area!

Had a great night moth and bat hunting last night at Old Country Farm with @WorcsBRC. Highlights were this White plume moth and being told I was young because I could hear the bat's without a detector. Surprisingly years of loud music have done me no harm!!
