@muddymuddymum Shoes with a heel even if a small one. Also no more slip on sandals as your toes have to scrunch a fraction to keep them on and this aggravates it. When it’s gone you can go back to your Birkenstocks for round the house but not any distance really. Good luck!
@stephenpollard Rare neurological emergency with severe head pain and blind, felt my way along corridor to avoid game show noise on the tv, waited between the laundry trolleys. When nurse found me ‘the quiet room’ the tv was on in there too, resumed position by the trolleys
@stephenpollard Music and daytime tv in waiting rooms are a nightmare, especially when you’re ill and want some peace. I was told they do it on purpose so theres privacy at the desk. Once I went with a 1/2
@LucyMPowell@tiggergirl63@Samfr So does that mean in exams the pupils can have all their text books and reference materials in the exam then? Have it all to hand?
@FionaLondonarts Yep that would irritate me and I’d end up saying something. Were you working on a laptop tho? I have an eye condition and the reflection that bounces off them (plus the constant tapping) can be just as intrusive and spoil my journey too.
Remember the polar bears.
Remember the rhinos.
Remember the elephants.
Remember the orangutans.
Remember the whales.
Remember the rainforests.
Remember the coral reefs.
Remember the glaciers.
The future of each now rests in human hands.
We keep waiting for someone to invent a machine that cleans the air, stores carbon, produces oxygen and grows food.
We already did.
It’s called a tree.
Long before Michelangelo, long before Rembrandt, long before Picasso.....women were quietly and collaboratively creating their own masterpieces in Western art history....

The people spoke, their local council ignored them. Shameful.
➡️ Before / after
In Dec 2025 a remarkable 9-day occupation of the humble 1950s Sheringham Bus Shelter thwarted an attempted demolition by Norfolk County Council. The protest attracted nationwide media attention - from The Guardian and Daily Telegraph to BBC News and Have I Got News For You - drew support from the Prime Minister, and was recognised with C20’s inaugural Activist of the Year Award.
Yesterday, their beloved streamline moderne shelter and its railway mural was unceremoniously flattened in under an hour.
There are, quite clearly, more important things going on in the world right now. Yet this modest piece of modern heritage really meant something to people.

@RCEY28 🤣everyone drives a manual in the UK, it’s really not hard at all, even if you’re singing with the window down! I drive a Renault 5 and have to manually wind my window at the same time, woo hoo!! 🤣🤣🤣
On Hampstead Heath today at 4 PM, practically no one was on the scorched yellow grass in direct sunlight, but there were dozens of people under these majestic trees.
A reminder that it’s between 7 and 15 degrees cooler under trees. It’s obvious we need more everywhere …
@AlisonMoyet Basically she’s desperately scrabbling to hook something, anything, on to show shes doing something, but has no bloody clue. How you can be Ed minister and no teaching background is beyond me. Uniform is great for so many reasons.
