@martyduren Thanks for this. A deceitful stunt by a "Christian" populist, "deliberately cruel and designed to maximize pain" on people (fellow image-bearers and likely believers) who are in the country legally, with papers in hand.
@TheAlanNoble Yes, fellow reader, don't be deterred. It takes half a book to paint a realistic picture of this profoundly broken modern world, but the second half is profoundly helpful. No easy fixes, but encouraging, comforting gospel truth.
"[Jesus'] way contrasts with the bombast, fear peddling, and grasping for power to promote and protect our 'way of life' in this world that is so often appealed to by those who want power for themselves."
I had been voluntarily trying "hard mode," where you use revealed hints in subsequent guesses. Didn't stick to it completely today...

@AlanLCross Sincere opposition to brutality would never in itself be enough to achieve equality. Treating another person as a person, as someone who bears the image of God, will cost me something (Philippians 2:3).
@AlanLCross Wow.
"For the vast majority of white Americans, the [preceding decade of the civil rights movement] had been a struggle to treat the Negro with a degree of decency, not of equality."
@AlanLCross After "Rise & Fall of Mars Hill," I recognize Ramsey follows the same path as other narcissists: a charismatic celebrity building a brand on a foundation of biblical truths + his own "brilliance." It's a business not a ministry, so perhaps it's "okay." I don't care to support it.
Yesterday at my in-laws for Easter lunch. They invited a friend, a retired missionary named Pat Hess who lived 40 years among the Apinajé people in northern #Brazil. Fascinating person. 1/
