@OnsteamRando@ChickenListener@Dreamboum Exactly. I used Visual Source Safe in an early job which was in the 90s as well, so tools existed. I just think there were different priorities and the concept of reusing stuff after a game went gold was probably considered unlikely.

@JoshFairhurst Wild to see! I like Night Trap but I think even if there was no controversy, Sewer Shark was the better game to include with the SegaCD.
It had enough attitude, goofiness, and replayability to make it sell systems. And the dialog around it is still great: Shoot the tubes dogmeat!
@Sabine_Figaro@Stealth40k Man they screwed the pooch so bad on Proud Nordics.
I know Falcom mainly did it for that Switch 2 devkit, but the optics were horrible since NISA took forever to get the base version out in the west & Proud looked instantaneous. NISA is still struggling to sell those LEs too.
