@HoundsFocus The threat to the lives of 15,000 hounds is now real due to proposed ban on artificial hunting that keeps them alive . If it were about animal welfare the existing legislation would be enforced and bolstered with massive fines and custodial sentences.

@HoundsFocus The mortality rate of hounds is no different to pet dogs . Just because you secretly film a handful being put down makes it no crueler than pets put down by vets . Ban on trail hunting means certain death for 10,000 out of the 15,000 hounds in country .

@PETAUK Only reason British Isles has them is because of English Fox hunting.
In 1620 the last Wolf was shot in the British isles , the red fox would have gone the same way if not for the advent of modern fox hunting. Never seen anything out run a bullet.
