Fix a loose mortise and tenon!
In this instance, I had a haunched tenon for a breadboard and I had taken off too much thickness so the fit was too loose. Itโs been said that you can take wood off, but you canโt put it back on, but I beg to differ ๐

Breadboard End Process - Part 2
Here is the 2nd half of the breadboard end process where I take the Freud humongous 1/2โ spiral upcut bit and cut the mortise. Sucker will go 2 1/8โ deep, perfect for deeper mortises and the longer tenons
What do you think of the dry fit of the breadboard?

Breadboard End - Part 1: One of the most satisying things is cutting a haunched tenon for a breadboard.
I took the track saw to hog out most of the waste, then chiseled out the material. Cracks and Snaps! Finally used the router to make it nice and clean and get close to my line. You always want to leave some material to really have control of the final fit using a plane. Keep it locked in for Part 2 #woodworking #carpentry #diy
