There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic waste estimated to be in our oceans.

70% of our debris sinks into the ocean's ecosystem, 15% floats, and 15% lands on our beaches.

It needs to stop!

We are facing a global plastics crisis. Out of the 8.3bn tons of plastics produced since the 1950s, 79% ended in landfills or leaked into the environment.

There is virtually no place on Earth which is left untouched by plastic pollution.

Plastics pollution has a direct and deadly effect on wildlife. 

Thousands of seabirds and sea turtles, seals and other marine mammals are killed each year after ingesting plastic or getting entangled in it.

We need to keep plastic out of our oceans.
