Europeans traded weapons to African nations in exchange for their prisoners of war. That’s what happened. You think if the Europeans told the Africans that they would be using the prisoners for chattel slavery that they still would have sold them? No. And I didn’t learn this from my “government education” I learned it travelling to Ghana, visiting former slave trading post and learning what really happened. Your government education failed YOU. The Hatian rebellion is what jump started the end of the slave trade btw
