Worldward is deeply saddened at the news of the passing of @PrincePhilipDoE, Duke of Edinburgh. A great man admired by those he served for over 7 decades, we send our deep condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family for their loss.
We're proud to share our March newsletter with subscribers. It certainly isn't one to miss! Check it out on our website here: https://t.co/iKH0IgjlKj #newsletter#ClimateAction
Worldward is delighted to announce its new President, former Vice-President Benjamin Goldstein, and its new Vice President, long-term member Talia Levene. Here is a short message from Benjamin. We wish them both the best of luck in their new roles!
Worldward is proud to sign Earthday's open letter calling on governments to commit urgent action on Climate and Environmental literacy at the upcoming COP26 summit! Check out the letter here: https://t.co/aP9JY6wHdr
Worldward's movement is truly a global one, which is why we would like to extend our warmest wishes to the Chinese community, wishing them a happy, and healthy, New Year of the Ox.
Gideon is a friend and support to many in this global community, and almost everything thus far in Worldward bears his mark. Thank you so much, @GFuterman 4/4
@GFuterman has resigned as President of Worldward with immediate effect. We would like to thank him for all he has done in the organisation, and his boots will be huge boots to fill. 1/5
Gideon stated he left "the door of opportunity to do what I wanted to do in Worldward was closing," and wanted to stress that there was no dispute or disagreement that caused this, nor issues in his personal or professional life. It was merely the amicable "end of a chapter"
Last week, we were proud to partner with the Today for Tomorrow Campaign to host its virtual Wellbeing Week, with many key activists. Their aim, to enshrine in law the rights of future generations and to ensure long termism in legislation, is vital for climate restoration!
We are delighted to announce our new series of fortnightly blogs, which will be uploaded every other Friday. To start, we have an article from Vice President Benjamin Goldstein on political diversity and climate activism! Check it out here! https://t.co/IQPBKjpehA
The Paris Agreement is great, but its not enough to properly achieve #climatejustice. We need to #RestoreOurClimate if we truly want climate justice and that means going #BeyondNetZero, reach net zero quicker than quick, and then remove CO2 to restore the climate.
#Climate
Our politicians have easily available climate science explaining that we are in a crisis, and they still donโt act for the #ClimateJustice we all need and deserve. Itโs time to not only sign the Paris agreement, but to properly follow it. #NoMoreEmptyPromises#ClimateStrikeOnline
