Police DO NOT prevent crime; they respond to it. Crime is prevented by higher wages, guaranteed health care, food security, high-quality child care, housing, good schools, and addiction treatment.
It turns out Flock Safety Cameras love and demand privacy, but only for themselves and their employees
- Flock business location says you can’t film
- Flock moved locations but they instructed the old building to not give out their location to anyone asking
- Security guard at Flock building says he doesn’t consent to being filmed and he doesn’t want to be “under surveillance”
Here’s where it gets really crazy
- The new flock building is identified but they won’t put their name on the building, or on any of the building signs
- Security won’t confirm Flock is in the building
- No one is allowed to film, no one is even allowed to access any floors in the building
Flock demands extremely privacy, but only for themselves
Americans must be under surveillance but for them, you can’t even film outside an old building…. Amazing….
A college student just killed the biggest advantage politicians have ever had. The gap between the lie and the fact-check.
He built a Chrome extension called InTruth. It listens to any live speech, debate, or interview.
Transcribes every word. And checks every claim against real sources in real time. Before the speaker even finishes the sentence.
It works on debates. Press conferences. Town halls. Interviews. Anything with someone talking on video. The fact-check shows up on your screen while they're still talking.
Until now, fact-checking happened hours or days later. By then the clip has been shared, the headline has been written, and the damage is done. Nobody reads the correction.
InTruth closes that gap to seconds. The claim and the fact-check exist in the same moment.
A college student, a Chrome extension, and an AI model just did what entire newsrooms couldn't figure out for decades.
I’ve been keeping a list of all the news stories dominating my algorithm and the general news cycle in 2026. It is wild to see how quickly we move on and sometimes even forget some of these things.
If you are actively paying attention to the news then you realize how cooked this country is. There will be no recovery in our lifetime. It is all downhill from here
Doesn’t work like that.
First off, there was no fraud, but you seized the ballots and the paper back ups to make sure no one could question it.
Second, the constitution has no way to nullify a swearing in. Only peer expulsion.
Third, this sudden “announcement” is when Trump is down by two Senators and desperate to pass a bill.
Lastly, Trump had 64 court cases to try and litigate the election, including in Georgia.
No case turned up any evidence, including after an audit of these ballots.
Trump’s own lawyers and advocates then admitted to making up the conspiracy about this county, and were charged for it.
Part of the court evidence included their own email records of coming up with the plot.
Last year some regrettable cost cutting decisions were made about foodborne pathogen testing, ending 28 years of screening for cyclosporiasis and quickly catching and quenching several outbreaks. Now we still have no idea what the source of this outbreak is. This is the price!!!
An alarming number of Black people in the U.S. have died under suspicious circumstances since the second Trump admin. Many deaths have been initially categorized as suicides. Others are police-involved fatalities, alleged medical neglect in detention facilities or disappearances.
The most suspicious thing about the Nolan Wells situation is the police department ruling it a drowning before they even got an autopsy done.
They’re purposely trying to distort public perception before the facts come to light.
The parents of Nolan Wells, Christine and Elmore Wonsley, break their silence, speaking publicly for the first time about the death of their 18-year-old son, who was found dead after a Fourth of July weekend trip with friends in Mississippi. https://t.co/4dlAI4lHIg
Reminder that shit like this is happening because Trump’s budget cuts to agencies like the FDA. Our food is less regulated now because of his choices as a leader.
It’s been found in the DMV and it is thought it’s being found within fruits and vegetables in SYSCO supplied restaurants and Taylor Farm products. But we don’t have a working CDC or HHS to track so this is gonna be a mess
Trump is letting companies add poisons to our foods because it's profitable for the companies who donate money to him.
This is what Republicans mean when they say "deregulation."
