So, with the understanding that sports wagering isn't going anywhere I was asked what steps can the NBA and the other leagues take to curb game fixing, stat fixing etc...The below is not perfect but would be a great first step to earning the publics trust when it comes to the actual integrity of the outcome of sporting events
1: Active players should not be able endorse sports books(was always a bad idea)or market picks on games
2: Active players should not be allowed to wager on any sports not just their own(as of now they can wager on any sport other than their own - NBA Refs are not allowed to wager on any sport or even walk into a casino - same rules should be enacted for players)
3: Prop wagers on starters only with a cap on maximum bet
4: Eliminate in game wagering
ONE NFL ISSUE -
ESPN is now partially owned by the NFL - They should divest from ESPN BET(operated by PENN Gaming - which has been the least successful of all the sports books to date despite their aggressive marketing)and if they don't divest they should not be able to offer wagering on NFL games as its now in their best financial interest for bettors to lose those bets. ESPN personalities should not be able to offer picks on games or partner with Sports Books either in their official capacities as on air talent(NFL employees are already forbidden from gambling)
Again not perfect, and there will never be 100% compliance but these are easy steps to take

I’ve been doing this a minute 😂
Jalen gave me a lot of stories. So did Jayson. Nothing is overnight. You don’t pop up one day able to build connections and conduct lasting interviews. My old tapes were SO BAD. But I kept working. It’s a grind. So to everyone out there in this early position - keep going! It’s coming 🫶🏾
