Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect.  All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. Yesterday mid-day, the Harris Campaign was euphoric, as early intel was great.
Nancy Pelosi assured us we had the votes to take the House.
Cory Booker said he believed the race would be called for Harris by the end of the night.
Charlie Kirk and Stephen Miller were publicly panicking.
Somehow, in a matter of hours that all completely shifted.
That's the thing that really made this painful.
It was a full pendulum swing into darkness.
It defies understanding.

If Trump wins, there will be efforts to blame Russian interference or the Harris campaign or Biden, etc. That's all fair. But we need to be clear eyed that a huge swath of America likes what Trump is selling. Transphobia. Mass deportation. That's what he ran on. And here we are.
