Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect. All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions hold over these coming four years. Citizens across this country, our courts, members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy.
To our children and grandchildren, I’m so sorry we couldn’t turn back the hate at this moment. But we can’t give up on the idea of America. In this country, we accept the results of elections, we move on and we work.
Choose light over darkness, hope over fear, love over hate, unity over division. 🇺🇸
Yesterday mid-day, the Harris Campaign was euphoric, as early intel was great.
Nancy Pelosi assured us we had the votes to take the House.
Cory Booker said he believed the race would be called for Harris by the end of the night.
Charlie Kirk and Stephen Miller were publicly panicking.
Somehow, in a matter of hours that all completely shifted.
That's the thing that really made this painful.
It was a full pendulum swing into darkness.
It defies understanding.
“ A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles,” — Thomas Jefferson, who was a good deal more hopeful than I’m feeling this a.m. TBH.
@OneLoveliest I’m not going anydamnwhere unless/until the Gulf of Mexico swallows up Houston or the Confederacy fully reconstitutes itself and declares war against the Union again. It’s a battle between Mother Nature and Father Klan and I know who’s stronger.

America taken down by
Murdoch
Musk
Thiel
Trump
Four evil horsemen of greed, corruption, ego and incompetence will take this world back 70 years
If Trump wins, there will be efforts to blame Russian interference or the Harris campaign or Biden, etc. That's all fair. But we need to be clear eyed that a huge swath of America likes what Trump is selling. Transphobia. Mass deportation. That's what he ran on. And here we are.
