Both of our senators in Colorado today decided to side with war and genocide over peace and life, but I'm not sure that "decide" is even the right word. Many people called and wrote to convince them to support Senator Sanders' joint resolutions of disapproval that would have blocked shipments of offensive military weapons to Israel.

The problem is that our senators John Hickenlooper and Michael Bennet aren't really the ones making the decision. That power rests with their relevant donors, who in this case are AIPAC, the Israel lobby and U.S. technology manufacturers.

Hickenlooper has received $160,000 from J Street, a Zionist advocacy group, along with hundreds of thousands of dollars from tech companies like Apple, Google and Microsoft, which have all provided technologies deployed in Israel's genocide of Gaza. His total take from the pro-Israel lobby appears to be roughly $272,000, although that's likely an undercount.

Michael Bennet also has taken tons of cash from these sources, with TrackAIPAC stating he's received more than $460,000 from the pro-Israel lobby. From 2019-2024, AIPAC has been his top donor.

What this means is they just don't work for us. They don't. They don't listen to what we say when we call or write, because we don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars to give them. They listen to AIPAC, they listen to Microsoft and Apple, and then they welcome war criminals with open arms against the will of their constituents.

Both of these men should be deeply ashamed of their votes today, and they should know that Colorado was watching, and won't be supporting them when they come up for re-election in the next several years. We will fight against them and support other candidates because there is no other message that seems to get through to these corrupt genocidal Democrats who regularly express explicit loyalty to a foreign government. #copolitics
