@CricketNep were 80 for 9 at the end of their innings as Thailand confirmed their superiority with victory by 78 runs and won the 2025 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.

Our round-up of Round Five of the MBODC, which saw The Blaze win again; Somerset stay in touch at the top; and Surrey fail to defend a big total for a third time....

@Alpha_Nerd_777 That's true and it's why I feel zero sympathy for the West Indies (or other Full Members) not qualifying for World Cups. But with the overloaded calendar things are not likely to go towards every FM playing qualifying matches
@WorsteadJames ODI Super League was great & should have stayed. We had ZIM beating AUS, PAK, SL & IRE in away matches. South Africa almost missed out. Guaranteed fixtures for NED. And the thrill of Promotion - Relegation. Proper context to ODI format.
Both ODI & T20 should have Super Leagues.
It's laughable that this wonderful squad haven't got a home game this summer. If the women's game is going to grow there needs to be regular cricket for them. Sort your mess out @ICC you are meant to be growing the game!? The balance of wealth and resources is an embarrassment.
"Scotland currently has no fixtures scheduled for the remainder of 2025."
I like this from Cricket Scotland. It's bold. Basically calling out @ICC for what they are - custodians of the game for the few, not the many.
These players need to play, or else, what's the point?!
@Alpha_Nerd_777 Yes I do agree. That's why the men's Super League was such a brilliant concept. Unfortunately with such over full calendars in the men's game that leaves less access to grounds for W. So getting all the teams to qualify as football does is unlikely.
@cricketqueens Thank you ! This is going to be manic. I hope it doesn’t turn into a humiliation for this admirable Thailand side. They deserve to go out heads held high.
“There might be fewer countries playing (test), rather than *ALL OF THEM*”… Mr Greenberg just demonstrated what happens in the eyes of the big 3 when you don’t play test cricket: you aren’t even counted as a cricket playing nation.
Imagine if this game, and several of the other thrilling encounters at this qualifier, had been part of the main event of a World Cup with a global TV audience.
