It's amazing that these decrepit neocon imbeciles have gotten every major issue wrong for 40 years and just absolutely insist on keeping their streak of unbroken wrongness alive at all costs. Yes, 27 million people immigrated here between 1880 and 1924. The difference is that they came here legally, there was no welfare state for them to leach off of, they were not flooding in from dysfunctional lawless third world hellholes, and they actually desired to assimilate into American culture. Oh and we had 250 million fewer people living in the country at the time. So in other words, it was nothing like our current situation. At all. Not remotely.
Socialists do not perceive wealth as something that is produced; they see it as an independently-existing resource -- the pie-- and capitalism and socialism are simply systems for distributing the resource.
Their argument is simple: The pie should have been for everybody, but Elon Musk took it all.
But would the pie still be there for everyone else to share if, as in the first picture, there was no Elon Musk? This is an easy thing to answer, because Elon made his money by entering a mature industry -- auto manufacturing -- with many established legacy players around the world. They are the pie that would exist in Musk's absence.
Musk built an electric car that can replace internal combustion engines while they did not. He built a network of charging stations while they did not. And the reason he is the world's richest man is that the market now values Tesla more than the entire legacy auto industry combined, because his company has built this incredible sci-fi future tech while they're all stuck in the past.
He has a lot of pie because the pie did not exist before him and he invented pie.
Socialists cannot acknowledge this, because they do not believe an individual can be great. To them, we are all interchangeable units within a collective, and different outcomes can only arise from systemic unfairness since we are all the same.
The truth is, some people make pie and some people don't, and when society dictates that everyone should get the same amount of pie whether they make pie or not, people who could make pie generally don't bother because the state will confiscate it, and the state fails to develop the capacity to make enough pie for everyone in the absence of a private incentive, and there ends up not being enough pie to go around.
Chicago’s clown mayor Brandon Johnson declared a “state of emergency” over the alleged epidemic of trans people being murdered in the city.
POP QUIZ: can you guess how many trans people were murdered in the entire state of Illinois last year?
50?
25?
Try zero. Yes, zero.
This singular idea probably did more heavy lifting than any other in turning me into an “evil right wing racist”.
I distinctly remember the first time someone asked me “what would happen if you put everyone in America in Mexico and everyone in Mexico in America?”. I’d never considered it before. But thinking about it for not even a few minutes it became completely obvious that cultural chauvinism is the only defensible position.
Firstly, Alina Burns’s crimes are absolutely heinous and should obviously be condemned.
But I don’t understand why, or how, the Left still cannot understand the Right?
The Right see the nation like a house. They accept that there will always British nationals living in the house who will commit atrocious crimes, and that is something we have to deal with and guard against. However, when it comes to foreign nationals, we can choose who enters our house and who doesn’t (or who is forced to leave). Therefore, it’s different when horrific crimes are committed by foreigners, because that has been an explicit choice - it was a choice to let them, it was a choice to allow them to remain.
If the nation is a house, then many believe only the best behaved and brightest should be allowed entry, and thus crimes by British nationals should outweigh crimes by foreigners, massively.
Alina Burns being in the UK sadly isn’t a choice for us, unlike the way this Sudanese man being in the UK IS a choice. That’s the difference. And that’s why awful crimes by foreigners, triggers those on the Right more. It’s a choice.
I love Karens. They are the enforcers of community standards and public etiquette. They speak up when they see bad behavior. They call out line-cutters, they make sure your UPS packages don’t get stolen by blacks. They ensure public spaces remain safe and clean. Karens have a bad rep just because they’re white.
Long live Karens!
I think the trans community was really harmed by people like this. I think most people in the west are happy to accommodate weirdness. Accept the asterisk that goes with being a transwoman and move on. But instead there was a large push by people like this that insisted there was no asterisk. That transitioning was actually possible. This led them to absurdities like the female penis. Simply saying yes trans women aren’t the same as women could resolve it, but the ideology stops them. It leads them to the absurd. It also torches the public’s confidence in your ability to handle anything, seeing how you bend to ideology even when it makes you look ridiculous. Why would we let you change anything in society?
Every racist/sexist knew this story was bullshit from the start
1. Women don’t refer to their breasts as “cannons”
2. White Americans don’t refer to Indians as “Asian”
3. Racists have never heard of the slur “fish head” for Indian women, and as proof, we’ve spent the last day incorrectly applying it to Japanese and Chinese women
4. Racists don’t say “brown boy”
Only a “conservative” would ignore or not see all these obvious signs of an Indian scammer
>swiss think immigration is too high
>propose referendum to limit immigration
>government accepts proposals
>holds referendum to limit immigration
>limit immigration vote wins
>government limits immigration
>central issue of C21st western politics instantly solved
>it’s that easy
The thing that gets me about this, is that the manufacturing worker gets the largest percentage of THEIR created value. So for example if you make a chair that is sold wholesale to a store for 20$ each the factory tends to only make 1-2$ from that. But...
