@martyn_joseph I’m at the gig in Toft tonight, with my wife. I was at the Cambridge gig you did with Bob Harris and you kindly played my request for Driving Her Back to London at the end of the evening. Would love for us both to hear it again tonight!
RIP Gianluca Vialli. He was a part of that golden period at Chelsea (when I went to games regularly). The team emerged from mid- to lower-table also-rans to one challenging for things (but before ‘money’ meant winning became an expectation). Gullitt, Zola, Poyet… glorious times.

@pressfuturist I’m the same, maybe because it wasn’t a limp, listless performance (as maybe the Croatia game was after the early goal). We had a proper go, but the cards just didn’t fall for us. It totally felt winnable up until the penalty miss.
Who knows every verse in "We Didn't Start The Fire?" 🙋♂️ The song hit #1 on the Billboard 100 on this day in 1989.

Fewer than two weeks to go - this has been enormous fun to rehearse and is shaping up to be an excellent, thought-provoking piece of theatre. If you’re not in the mood for Christmas, this is perfect 😜

It’s the sign of a great show when you spend the next day reflecting on it and listening to the cast recording. Cannot recommend The Band’s Visit highly enough - shares a lot of DNA with Come From Away, but has its own unique feel. Hope it gets a full West End run.
