We will no longer post updates to this account. Please check https://t.co/gdJOsCGDzt for other ways to stay up-to-date on the latest news about WPE WebKit!
Just published an article based on the talk I delivered at the #WebKit Contributors meeting 2 weeks ago, summarizing the work on @WebKit that we did at @Igalia in the past 12 months: "Igalia and WebKit: status update and plans": https://t.co/q3PpfArjvJ
WPE 2.46 has also released with Skia replacing Cairo as its 2D rendering and sysprof support (plus several other improvements). Winds of change! 👌#webkit#wpe#skia#cairo
One more talk on #WebKitGTK scheduled for tomorrow at #GUADEC, this time coming from Georges Stavracas, who will be talking about the challenges of making the #GTK4 port of #WebKitGTK accessible again, the current status and what will be coming up next!

Patrick (@t1ngp1ng) will talk tomorrow at #GUADEC, where he will be presenting the new #WebKitGTK and #WPE SDK that improves the development & testing experience with a container-based environment. See https://t.co/2IjONNiEyO
More info on this new SDK at https://t.co/5PrO4wuVvu
Amazing post by Georges Stavracas on the improvements recently added to the Linux ports of #WebKit, and the integration with sysprof. Worth pointing out that, while this work has been developed over @WebKitGTK , it also benefits #WPE so it's a double win (and just the beginning)!
Igalia’s Georges Stavracas writes about profiling WebKitGTK (a Linux port of Apple’s WebKit) to see how WebKitGTK is doing after being switched from Cairo to Skia, and how he hooked into WebKitGTK's existing tracing mechanisms to make that much easier

Only one week to go for #GUADEC! Don't miss the talks from @igalia by Patrick and Georges, on the new SDK for #WebKitGTK (and @WPEWebKit) and on WebKitGTK #accessibility, on July 19th and 21st.

See you there!

We expect this one to be quite technical at times. More information: https://t.co/gGvFNJEZCs
On Wednesday, at 12:00 CEST (UTC+2) @alexgcastro and Carlos García Campos will report about the current status of the adoption of Skia for rendering in @WPEWebKit and @WebKitGTK and the plans for the coming months. https://t.co/GxfMCcL6kV
Then on Tuesday at 12:00 CEST (UTC+2), Patrick Griffis will do a more hands-on session, demoing the new container-based SDK for WebKit and discussing the rationale for its creation and how it works. https://t.co/tHPHjE78mv
First, on Monday at 17:00 CEST (UTC+2), we will have @NikolasZimmerm1 talking about WebKit's new Layer-Based SVG Engine (LBSE), focusing on the progress during done during the previous year and what is coming next → https://t.co/tay9ZhlHtn
The @webhackfest organized by @igalia kicks off today, and will span three days full of talks, BoFs, and workshops related to Web technologies and their implementation.
Many @webkit contributors will be present and there are a number of sessions covering topics related to WPE!🧵
I've been using this new WebKit SDK on Linux for a while and highly recommend it.
It fits really well when I need to tweak some dependencies, or to install local builds, when developing separate browsers/apps as we work on them and WebKit at the same time.
