Today, Superintendent Dr. Johnson joined Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis for the 4th Annual CEO Build. Over the two-day build, 30 local CEOs and executives raise walls, raise funds, and raise awareness for the need of affordable housing. It’s a chance to learn from each other, connect across industries, and take action by helping homebuyers build a brighter future for their families.
ICYMI: In May, the IPS Board of School Commissioners approved a resolution to transfer select unused and underutilized district properties to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis for residential development.
IPS has identified seven parcels for the initial phase, with plans to build up to five homes annually between 2027 and 2029, prioritizing homeownership opportunities for IPS staff.

Indy is no different than so many seats in Congress — the same family name holding down the same seat for decades.
Indy should be allowed to step forward. That’s democracy at work.
I’m running for Congress because this seat belongs to the people—not corporations.
This is about taking power back from corporate kings and political insiders—and making government work for working families. #nokings#congress#indy#democrat#vote
