@ViceLitty @katsudonsoup in some animations, you want to convey speed. one small issue: if you draw one circle moving one centimeter each frame, it just moves smoothly

the solution? make it move two centimeters on some frames, now it looks like it goes faster

@katsudonsoup now theyd need to sketch everything, line it, then color it, on top of all the other skills required for animation, such as understanding movement

try drawing the same artwork. 24 times. just for one second of animation.
believe me i tried and it was SO FUCKING TEDIOUS

@katsudonsoup some other animation commissions are cheaper because usually frames are copy pasted and edited, or reused, or corners are cut in general
sometimes they arent frame by frame animations, but instead motion tweening, which while difficult, is definitely easier than frame by frame

24fps animation = 24 frames per second assuming minimal corner cutting

24 frames = 24 artworks, basically
i price my comms at around 20$ for a colored and lined artwork

20$ x 24 frames = 480$ per second
too expensive? try it yourself and see why
