We're proud to announce that the #printHAT2 is here! It took a bit longer that anticipated to neatly pack a lot of punch in a very compact board. But we did it!

After thoroughly testing it , we've updated our Raspberry Pi image with the latest Klipper v0.9.1 and Octoprint v1.4.2. Happy printing!

@Borax_rzl Thanks @Borax_rzl!Unfortunately we haven't released much information on it because we are investigating possible business applications and we've decided to keep the design proprietary. Shall the situation change in the future we'll communicate it through our social media channels
@H_Smith02 For the pHAT you can use the standard trinamics heat-sinks (i.e. https://t.co/MYDgrl5aCt). For the Pi4 we haven't used any heatsink in particular, since our custom enclosure seem to do a pretty good job to keep the PI cool:

Good news! We've just released the long waited update of our control software based on Octopi 0.17.0(buster) and Klipper v0.8.0.
This version welcomes the Raspberry Pi 4 to the printHAT compatible SBCs! We've also uploaded a compatible enclosure to make sure the system stays cool
@mordhau5 We've done some tests with the RPi 4 and the printHAT works just fine. However no official release of OctoPi has been released. You can find nightly builds here https://t.co/YS5v3pRzMG
@mordhau5 Hi Carl, the RPi communicates with the printHAT via the onboard UART and that guarantees enough bandwith in the vast majority of setups. Additionally you can enable the virtual SD card functioinality of Klipper which works well if OctoPi is the bottleneck in your workflow.
TeachingTech has reviewed our board proving a useful walk-through to install it on an Ender 3. Check it out! #printHAT#3Dprinting#klipper3d
