@_VictorUgwu Love the project list. For students who need a lightweight offline .xlsx editor between Excel installs, I made Sheetwren ($8 Windows, formulas/sort/filter/PDF). Happy to share a free tip sheet for inventory tracking if useful — disclosure: I'm the developer.
@mantaq_co Agree — the win is deleting the human copy step, not adding another integration. For desktop work that still lives in Excel/forms, a local macro recorder that replays clicks and keystrokes is often enough. I built Macrowren for that on Windows ($5 one-time).
@joyce_abel1 I'd automate the boring click-through first: the same Excel cleanup or form fill you do every week. On Windows I record the mouse/keyboard once with a small macro recorder (Macrowren — mine, $5) and replay it. No cloud workflow needed for that kind of task.
@demistificator1 ESPHome → HA is the path I use for tent climate too. After the entities are there, I backfill history into a Windows grow journal so a day the PC was off isn't a blank gap. Happy to share the entity mapping if useful.
@AlexKvazis Those SNZB-02B packs are solid for HA tents. Once they're in Home Assistant I pull the history into a local VPD journal (Botanawren — I'm the maker, paid Windows app) so I get time-in-range per day instead of only the live card. MQTT/ESPHome works the same way.
@MrGrowIt Good ranges. One extra gotcha: after lights-off, air cools and RH climbs fast toward dew point even if daytime VPD looked fine. A second sensor at canopy height beats one on the wall. I log both periods so lights-off spikes show up in the day chart.
Need a lightweight spreadsheet editor that stays offline? Sheetwren opens .xlsx, .xls, .csv and .ods, with formulas, sort, filter and PDF export. Windows, $8 once. https://t.co/ybgXvO3L9o
Copy-paste the same Excel cleanup every Friday? Macrowren records your mouse and keyboard once so you can replay the routine on Windows. Office automation only, $5, free updates. https://t.co/rppquQ9hWP
Already logging with Govee, SensorPush, INKBIRD, AC Infinity or VIVOSUN? Botanawren imports those exports (and TrolMaster, Pulse, Spider Farmer, Mars Hydro) or lives on Home Assistant / MQTT / Bluetooth. One VPD journal on Windows. $9. https://t.co/PxTK50QO0G
Same clicks and keystrokes, over and over? Record the task once with Macrowren, then replay it. Small Windows macro recorder for office work, $5 once, 30-day refunds. https://t.co/rppquQ9hWP
What did you do differently on your best harvest? Botanawren keeps feeding, reservoir, light, climate and yield in one place and lets you compare grows side by side. Windows, $9, 30-day refunds. https://t.co/PxTK50RlQe
@cmicpace Thanks Colin! I kept opening a full office suite just to fix one cell or check a CSV, and waiting for it to load. Sheetwren is built for those quick in-and-out edits.
Sheetwren is live on Product Hunt today! It's a small, fast Windows app for opening and editing spreadsheets, built for quick edits without the wait.

@Ecofarmsandagro Agreed. An easy check is to lift the tray or pot: if it's still heavy, skip watering. A small fan on low helps seedlings in humid rooms too.
@primecutsnurser Good point. A cheap IR thermometer on a few leaves at canopy height gives you the real offset. Under LEDs the leaves often sit at or a bit below air temp, so the offset can flip compared with HPS.
@spiderfarmerled When the heater kicks on at lights-off, keep an eye on humidity too. Warming the air drops RH fast, then it climbs again as the heater cycles off. Setting the night target a few degrees below day, instead of matching it, usually keeps the swings smaller.
"Your disk is almost full." Then what? Filewren scans a drive and shows exactly where the space went, so you can clean up fast. Offline Windows app, $9 once, free updates. https://t.co/DIeWXtOmgV
Running an AC Infinity or VIVOSUN controller in your tent? Export the data and Botanawren turns it into VPD charts and time in range per day, right next to your journal notes. TrolMaster and Spider Farmer exports work too. Windows, offline, $9. https://t.co/PxTK50RlQe
Grow journal tip: log the day you flip 18/6 to 12/12. Botanawren does it in one click, counts stage days, and labels every photo with its grow day so you can compare runs later. $9, Windows. https://t.co/PxTK50QO0G
Sensors from different brands? Botanawren pulls them into one grow-room journal. Imports Govee, SensorPush, INKBIRD, AC Infinity, VIVOSUN, TrolMaster, Pulse, Spider Farmer and Mars Hydro exports, or any CSV/XLSX. One VPD chart, one history. Windows, $9. https://t.co/PxTK50QO0G
Live logging in Botanawren: Home Assistant, MQTT (ESPHome, Shelly, Tasmota, Zigbee2MQTT), SensorPush cloud, Pulse, Govee API, plus passive Bluetooth from some Govee, INKBIRD and SensorPush sensors. Local only, no account needed. $9 for Windows: https://t.co/PxTK50RlQe
