Overall this was a very solid episode of #SmackDown and, I'll be 100 with y'all, that is a shock to me given how my experience usually goes. I quite enjoyed the matches here (even if one was a bit rough), and there were some interesting story beats in the segments.
Not least of which is this thing with finally having a spot for Rey Fenix and the War Raiders now that they're AAA champions, lol. Also, BIG fan of Chad Gable showing up here after the big unmasking in AAA, and I'm excited to see where things go.
That was a fun main event to close out #SmackDown, and I have to admit that as much as I wasn't vibing with "oh is Judgment Day still having issues" on Monday I *am* vibing with Dom advancing in the KOTR tournament. Telling Oba to "count his days" is hilarious, I'm curious to see how that semifinal match goes lol
Legend vs Green was...fine. Gonna be honest, setting aside commentary's explanation the bit where Legend kinda stumbles over the top rope on a low bridge by Chelsea is up there with Scott Steiner slamming himself onto the ring steps (IYKYK). I'm just sayin, lol #SmackDown
Very solid tag match between Cargill/Michin and Flair/Stratton. I liked Michin getting a shoutout as being a former Impact (TNA) Knockouts Champion, and loved the Styles Clash spot as well. #SmackDown
As we get approximately halfway thru #SmackDown I will give credit where it's due, I've been pretty engaged throughout with the matches and segments (which is a borderline shock as usually this show gets rooough by this point lol)
Good match for what it was between Talla Tonga and Royce Keys, with the focus being the continued issues between MFT and Keys/Truth/Priest. I wasn't actually that aware of Truth's past with Royce so I thought it was cool having it addressed further on commentary. #SmackDown
I quite liked that Queen of the Ring match, some really good action overall. Would've liked to see Bayley advance but it's fine. Enjoyed the post-match stuff with Giulia and Kiana James, a good moment for Giulia for the fans in Italy. #SmackDown
Pretty crazy start to #SmackDown this week. Gunther demands the title he "should've won" at Clash, and instead we get the possibility of a rematch tonight...only for Sami to interrupt. Tensions continue to mount between the two buds.
