I’m often tempted to finish my days thinking I haven’t done much, or created enough. That’s false, because sometimes, just making it through the day is enough.

Notice how you’re only thinking about what’s important now? You’re focused on the things and the people that matter, not the haters, the fakeness of social media, or the little things that used to bug you.
Even after all of this is over, keep that same energy.

Being a Black teacher and teaching Black kids in 2020 is being aware of how systems purposely don’t have their best interest at heart, but then also being expected to uphold them in order to stay employed.
It’s tough.
