Each print for our time-limited launch with @dmitricherniak will be embossed here in London, creating a delicate raised surface underneath the parameter sweep of Ringer #962.
An emboss is created using two components that fit together using high pressure - a silver metal plate called a ‘die’ and counterforce. The black and cream area under the print is the inkjet film positive, which is used to register the prints to the die.
Hear @dmitricherniak discuss his artistic process with LACMA's Dhyandra Lawson, in preparation for the release of his exclusive Avant Arte X LACMA silkscreen print edition with accompanying NFT edition. Visit https://t.co/wCcTGEf1tu for more info ✨

German Expressionism has hugely influenced my work – I've always felt a kinship with the bold emotionality of these artists responding to the societal tension of their time.
