@ZachForIL Absolutely for many things and most recently spending tax money to fill #Illinois voter rolls with non-citizens aided and abetted by @KwameRaoul

JB Pritzker is against using Illinois taxpayer dollars to help keep the Chicago Bears in Illinois. But he’s perfectly fine with using $180 million in taxpayer money to renovate his downtown Chicago Hyatt hotel.
@shestokas@BobFiorettiChi@adamniemerg That is insane. I knew he supported the illegal immigration and migrants, taking resources from us for them, but giving them registration to vote is outright insane. Voting matters and this undermines ours.
The Illinois Attorney General isn't just a legal representative; the office is the voice of the people in every criminal case. The AG has a duty to ensure justice is served statewide, upholding the law for all. #IllinoisLaw#CriminalJustice@Bobfiorettichi@JacketNation

The Illinois Attorney General's powers mirror those of the King of England's attorney in 1776, wielding common law authority for the people, not the governor or state. Fioretti for Illinois AG: https://t.co/i2wXD3Iq3y #Illinois@BobFiorettiChi@RichardEHagen1

Now that the smoke and mirrors have cleared from yet another disastrous legislative session, Illinoisans deserve a clear-eyed assessment of how deeply broken state government has become.
Leaving aside the fumble on the Bears stadium situation, we should take one train wreck at a time.
Illinois Democrats will describe this budget as “fiscally responsible.” The facts tell a very different story.
This year’s budget passed at $56 billion. When JB Pritzker and Kwame Raoul assumed power, the state budget was just over $36 billion. In eight years, that is a 55.6% increase. That is not fiscal responsibility. It is runaway government growth.
Illinois Democrats also claim this budget helps working families. That is a cruel joke. Since taking office, Pritzker and Raoul have supported or presided over dozens of tax and fee increases, every single one of them targeted at working families.
In 2019, they raised the gas tax by more than 20 cents per gallon and built in automatic annual increases without requiring a new vote. Now, they are bragging about pausing a mere 1.6 cents of that increase, as though they are doing us a favor.
This budget also reflects a troubling set of priorities. It spends $146 million more for services connected to illegal immigrants, adding to the billions already spent.
This state government continues to prioritize criminals over victims, teachers unions over parents, and greedy utility companies over consumers (surely the millions of dollars of campaign contributions from utility companies and teachers unions are simply a coincidence).
It does not have to be this way.
Illinois needs an Attorney General who will stand with working families, protect victims, challenge corruption, confront special interests, and fight for you.
For a change.

Another Pritzker budget, another plethora of tax increases.
Pritzker’s eight new tax increases will take another $800 million from Illinois workers. This brings JB’s total tax and fee increases to 65, amounting to $8.5 billion annually, leaving Illinois residents paying the highest taxes and fees in the country.
Effective state and local tax rates totaled nearly 17% for a median Illinois household last year, compared to the national average of just 11.02%. Unbelievably, that is even higher than No. 2-ranked New York at 14.95%. Meanwhile, Illinois property taxes have increased by $11 billion, or 33%.
Illinois’ economy has performed so poorly that nearly all revenue growth used to fund the state’s ever-expanding government has come from tax increases rather than economic growth. In fact, since Pritzker took office, almost all employment growth has been in government jobs.
Illinois residents—particularly middle- and upper-income earners—are voting with their feet. Since Pritzker took office, Illinois has continued to lose residents, while the state’s population decline has been offset by a surge in migrant arrivals, which some estimates place at more than 500,000 people. Surveys also show that roughly half of remaining residents say they would leave Illinois if they had the means to do so.
