@Spiti41791790@HarryStebbings@pheydon@elonmusk Really — colonised were winners ? What have you been reading show your sources … https://t.co/daBrYXiLq1
There is plenty of literature to show the loot and net drain and how British colonialism crippled and destroyed economies.
@elonmusk The irony of this post. Twitter CEO Musk aids in spreading fake news that’s not verified. The community notes and context feature provides high quality source and clearly shows it’s got nothing to do with foreign rapists, it was Windrush related.
@HarryStebbings @Darmina_Patel I pay much less in taxes but in the 45-50% of my earnings bracket, phone was stolen 2 mins from my house on a residential street in Greenwich, London
police constable who visited me, spent all of her 15 mins lecturing me on not looking at phones while walking. did nothing.
@shreyas Wow Shreyas… I love your ability to think deep in all topics: product / people / general life thesis. Makes me ask - what’s your diagnosis, how much of this ability to unpack something was born with vs practiced, got better. It’s always a mix but curious to hear your answer
@shreyas Reminds me of this https://t.co/ZHi0H8TECE
The #1 company-killer is lack of market.
•When a great team meets a lousy market, market wins.
•When a lousy team meets a great market, market wins.
•When a great team meets a great market, something special happens.
@shreyas@Productogy Like this discussion - think we would all agree that “do really great work” is the main one. It sets the baseline. Good manager and good managing up can be an amplifier or lack of these can stifle the full impact of good work.
A reminder that when deciding if that VPN you got from an app store is legal, you can take advice of some foreign propagandist with no legal qualifications, or you can read this article by a PRC court titled "Wall Climbing is Illegal, Here's Common Sense You Must Know" 1/8
@British_Airways BA has spoilt our whole trip to Ams and Brussels worth £5k because it lost an essential item. We can’t do anything now with 2 kids -3 year and 5 year.
@British_Airways BA 2764 London - Amsterdam — lost our buggy ! So annoying they told us in London we will have it at the gate. At Amsterdam they tell us it’s in the belt. Now they tell me it’s lost and make a report about it..have two young kids they’ve spoiled the 7 days here
@KieranO@gokulr@KieranO can you please share more ? An obvious fall back is to do all n group meetings but not pair wise 1-1. What were the downsides of not doing 1-1
@ParisAeroport horrible for infants, 2 hours of queue at immigration with no separate line for families with infants. Such a bad experience. Avoid CDG and Paris airport if you can.
@shreyas +100, the “fail fast” or “learn from mistakes” is often abused. Over the years I’ve learnt to ask — was this the fastest/cheapest way to learn ? Or, was this an easily preventable/ foreseeable failure mode.
@gibsonbiddle@johncutlefish John doesn’t even recommend models. His whole mantra from far seems like - context matters, always understand the other side. I love the balanced views and explorations.
@gibsonbiddle@johncutlefish The good part in all seasoned operators turned coaches - like you, Shreyas, Lenny is that you all start with “context matters”. A discerning reader / listener will not take your models at face value but will understand the core behind it.
