Jon Stewart on Trump’s corrupt slush find: “This is fuckin’ our money! Do we even have a Congress? It’s all Orwell, it’s all a fuck you troll. His entire career is a troll. They’re gonna give it to people that sprayed mace at police officers and pretend they’re rewarding patriotism”
I love that Zohran's fight to make New York City accessible to everyone goes beyond food and shelter. "This is your city, you should get to enjoy all that it has to offer," is a hell of a platform.
He’s right bc we tax income, not wealth.
Bezos takes out a tiny salary, pays the income tax, and lives off loans borrowed against his stocks, basically tax free. They all do this and now 935 billionaires hold more wealth than 170 million Americans.
It’s time to tax wealth.
No increase in cancer risk following mRNA Covid vaccines in large data sets from Norway 🇳🇴 and Sweden 🇸🇪
They don't cause cancer
It's a myth invented by anti vaxxers to scare you off vaccines
MacFarlane: Here's the first sign that you have an indefensible idea. You have to pervasively put out false information to defend that idea. The critics of the January 6th prosecutions have alleged it was a Biden launched weaponization. It was Donald Trump's first term in which those prosecutions were launched. It was Trump's department of justice that did so. They called themselves victims of weaponized prosecutions. That assumes that every single grand juror and every single trial juror, hundreds of people were all in on this, which is a preposterous notion.
The tide is turning – if not against Palantir entirely, then against the presumption that there’s no alternative to them.
The British people are saying no, and it’s working. Say no to Palantir in the NHS here: https://t.co/4G724CElC9
“They” didn’t leak Trump’s tax returns. An IRS contractor did - along with thousands of other tax returns - during Trump’s first term.
Biden’s DOJ prosecuted the contractor, who got the max: 5 years in prison.
This is shameful spin from SDNY U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton.
🚨Last night in House Appropriations, all Republicans present voted to allow THEMSELVES to get settlements from the January 6th Slush Fund. I am not making this up.
Fran Lebowitz on the billionaires: “Every time someone suggests [a wealth tax] they say I’m moving. Go! They add nothing to New York. In the 19th century, those robber barons, they employed people. All this money magic employs no one. Goodbye, go. We don’t need you”
Mar a Lago employees had pictures of stolen classified documents on their iCloud accounts. But the DOJ refuses to release Jack Smith’s Volume 2 in yet another attempt to hide Trump’s TREASON. 👇
Wow, Trump has publicly said that the last time he hung out with Jeffrey Esptein was 2002 (Google it). Then he said he reported him to the police in July of 2006. So why does this email from the Epstein files show Trump was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein in December of 2016???
Bruce Springsteen appeared on Stephen Colbert’s show tonight and COOKED Trump and his goons
“I’m here in support tonight for Stephen, because you are the first guy in America who lost his show because we got a president who can't take a joke…. and because Larry and David Ellison feel they need to kiss his ass to get what they want. Stephen, these are small minded people. They got no idea what the freedoms of this beautiful country are supposed to be about”
Fun fact for the $10 billion lawsuit crowd.
The IRS leak that exposed Donald Trump’s tax returns happened between August 2019 and November 2020.
405,427 other taxpayer returns were also leaked.
Trump was president. His own pick, Charles Rettig, ran the IRS. The contractor who did it, Charles Littlejohn, worked on a Trump-era IRS contract and is now serving five years in federal prison.
On January 29, 2026, Trump sued the IRS and Treasury for $10 billion over a breach that happened on his watch, under his commissioner, by a contractor his administration paid.
He is suing the federal government he ran, for failing to stop a leak that occurred while he was running it.
The taxpayer foots the bill either way.
VP Vance also asked triumphantly in a Monday speech: "How is it that we've seen the biggest growth in manufacturing employment last quarter that we have seen in this country since Donald J. Trump was president the first time?”
We...have not seen that. There were bigger gains in manufacturing employment in six of the Biden administration's seven full quarters in 2021 and 2022. (And two of those quarters came after the economy had already gotten back to its pre-pandemic level of manufacturing employment.)
