Hey, Twitter Family! How are you?
You may ask why our website says "Coming Soon."
I started this company without much guidance or planning. Now, I am taking the time to figure out what I want the company to become.
Any ideas on what you would like to see us do in the future?
As I (@HayleyGAuthor) am the only employee right now and am currently in school, working on my WIPs, and working, I will only publish my books for now. However, there are intentions to publish others' books in the future, though I don't know when that will be. Stay tuned!
Hey guys! Here's an update.
Since my team burned out so badly, we will, for the foreseeable future, only be publishing my (Hayley Green, CEO) books, which are romance books. There will be no literary journal either, for the same reason.
I am deeply sorry for the inconvienience.
@Ewak_12 Sleep is the bane of my existence, but it is also non-negotiable when it comes to bedtimes. If I didn't need sleep then I could read, write, go to university, and run this business. For now, as sleep is required, this business is currently on a siesta until my team and I recover.
@ReneeGendron Tip 1: Read aloud
Tip 2: Mix up the sentence structures
Tip 3: Use both short and long sentences
Tip 4: Look for repeated words, phrases, and action tags
All of these should be done in editing mode, whether you edit as you go or all at once at the end of the first draft.
@CarrieVoice I talked to someone who got a degree in Dance and was now a manager at a hotel. They didn't regret the uselessness of the degree; they had followed their dreams. So I did some soul searching and realized I have always loved to write, ever since I was a kid. So I did.
@johnnyLiveTTV As humans, it is scientifically proven that we need social groups to stay mentally, physically, and emotionally well.
As an introvert, I have tried to prove science wrong. And then I see a funny meme and have to share it with my roommates, in person, to see their reactions.
@blakescribbles I am working on a college degree. But, if I'm being honest, the best thing I have found from the program are people who give me honest feedback on my writing. Other than that, I'm not sure it's worth the ticket price, for writing specifically. For this company, it's been helpful.
@dremadeoraich Great question!
For breaks, especially if it's due to burnout or forcing myself to do too much, I turn off the lights, get under the covers by an open window in the sunlight, and read my kindle.Sunlight, fresh air, a comfy blanket, a book, and something to drink.
@McconnellEryn We have two anthologies with poems and short stories if you would like. All are under 5k words and on different themes (romance, science fiction, fantasy, holidays, villains and antiheroes, mythology and mythical creatures) Both are on Kindle Unlimited.
