the worst thing a writer can do is close themself off to critique 💯 if you believe you do not need the critical feedback of your peers and betters, you actually need that feedback more than most 👀
@HLCarter_Author I’m the same way. If I put placeholders I would never write the transitional/backstory scenes. It would be all drama from start to finish with no context!
@TK_Farias One of my YA WIPs is very political— it’s a superhero allegory that takes place during the 2015 metoo movement. My other WIP that I’ll be querying soon is only “controversial” in the sense it’s a reverse harem romance so ultimately some characters are queer.
@The_Happy_Blue In my next set of rewrites I’m hoping to have a scene with flowers. My female MC loves tiger Lillie’s because they remind her of Midwest summers. I also want my male MC to receive flowers at some point because men should get flowers too 🥹
