One thing that stands out to me about Rodri’s arrival is this.

He landed in Barcelona this evening and immediately said “Playing for Barcelona is a dream. Going for everything.”

The deal is done at €76.5m. Medical tomorrow.

This is not just another midfielder arriving. This is a player who has already won everything at the highest level and is still choosing to come here and compete for more.

The fact that Fermín gave up the No. 16 for him and took the No. 7 shows the respect he already carries in the squad before he has even trained.

At this stage of his career Rodri gives Flick a midfielder who can control games, win the ball higher up, and set the tempo without needing to be protected.

What exactly do you think changes most in this team the moment Rodri starts playing regularly?

Can we have an honest discussion for a moment about Nicolas Jackson?

He’s being offered to Barcelona in a €70m package after Ferran Torres’ exit.

Jackson has the physical tools, the runs in behind, and the work rate Flick likes. But when you look closer, his first touch under pressure and his link-up play still look inconsistent, the exact areas we need a second striker to be reliable in.

At that price, with the Álvarez situation still open, he feels closer to an expensive squad option than a genuine upgrade.

Either he arrives as a clear Plan B with room to develop, or we stay patient and wait for a better functional fit.

What exactly does Jackson offer that we can’t find cheaper or develop from within?
