When honorifics ARE required (see: martial arts, for example), find out from the person what they use! Some martial artists use mx. But ask first, never assume.

Friendly reminder to avoid “sir”, “ma’am”, or honorifics of the sort. They’re awkward and unnecessary, unless you’re referring to Oregano, who prefers “King”.
