At what point does judicial misconduct become so blatant that the government can no longer ignore it? Judge Beverly Cannone has repeatedly demonstrated that she is not, and never was, an impartial judge in the Karen Read case. She has openly protected the prosecution and its witnesses since the first trial, refusing to recuse herself despite glaring conflicts of interest. She even turned down the Brian Walshe case just to stay on this one. Why? What possible reason could she have to be so invested in this case.... unless she has a personal stake in its outcome?

She has abused her judicial authority at every turn, disregarding legal precedent and fairness. She has ignored prosecutorial misconduct, allowed key exculpatory evidence to be dismissed, and enabled a case riddled with corruption and conflicts of interest to proceed unchallenged. And she does it all while laughing in the face of justice and in the face of every citizen who believes in the right to a fair trial.

And she isn’t the only one. Michael Morrissey is pushing this false narrative, but who is he protecting? Out of 50 Assistant District Attorneys in Norfolk County, not a single one would take this case. Not one. That speaks volumes. Instead, they had to hire the personal attorney of Whitey Bulger; one of the most corrupt mob bosses in Massachusetts history. And what happened? Hank Brennan lied in open court, and nothing was done. Nothing. Why? Because this entire case reeks of corruption and cover-ups from the top down.

This has become bigger than Karen Read. This is about the integrity of Massachusetts.

When people think of this state, they will no longer think of our history, our world-class universities and hospitals, or our progress. Instead, they will think of corruption, abuse of power, and a system that protects its own while destroying innocent lives.

This is the state where child rapists walk free, but an innocent woman is being framed by the very people sworn to serve and protect us. This is the state where a judge can trample over the Constitution and laugh in the face of justice. While the @FBI, @MassAGO, @CivilRights, @JusticeOIG, and every other government body just watch it happen.

What happens when this case sets a precedent? What happens when misconduct is allowed to stand? If a judge can ignore civil rights violations without consequences, does it become the new normal? If the government refuses to step in now, will this be tolerated everywhere?

It’s like a business: the employees are only as good as their management. So what does this say about our new Attorney Generals? The FBI? The government officials who could have stopped this but didn’t?

Massachusetts, is this who we are now? Because if this is allowed to stand, this is what we’ll be known for.

It’s time for someone to step in and say, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
