@MegzyCole Urgh. People’s understanding of the genre is limited to thinking memoir = autobiography, as in birth to death, or “I’m writing my memoirs” as one did way back when reflecting on a long life in old age. It’s tiring educating very educated people on the topic!
Michael Chahal is child and youth care student at Douglas College.
His practicum is with Qmmunity, B.C.’s Queer, Trans & Two-Spirit Resource Centre.
I’m so proud of our student Michael & so appreciative of @QMUNITY for supporting his #wil practicum placement and the #CYC program @douglascollege! An amazing opportunity. Thanks to @AnneKangMLA /MAEST for helping us revive CYC Practicum after the #pandemic’s disastrous effects!
As we know, COVID-19 pandemic decreased the number of placements available to students. Here is how we are helping post-secondary institutions bolster the great work they are doing to connect students to meaningful work experience at https://t.co/7l6jjGar60

@ChristinaMyersA @JulieWigley Ha! My sisters and I called it the “circle of neglect” and appreciated the time it afforded to do all the things we could get done in the 15 mins of attention it consumed of our kids.
