Quite interesting how Achilles could easily say “you could’ve just lied” to Patroclus. I know that people could lie with ease when it comes to easy stuff but over killing someone? I don’t think so. Would y’all have the guts to lie for doing that?

I just find the controversy about video games a bit fascinating and how some people say that it causes violence. Personally, I see it as a way of releasing or coping with stress or anxiety. In a way, it’s how I’ve been dealing with the stress due to the pandemic
@USAOWTC#WTCKin1
Wait, how come I’ve never heard of this book until now? Also, is there a movie adaptation of this book, I know they mess some stuff up but it would be super cool to see it actually come to life.
@USAOWTC#WTCCes
This reading just brought me back to high school & AM Civ 2.
Imperialism? Colonization? Either way, it’s never the best way to establish contact. It’s not really civilization since it’s colonization. It’s degrading, violent, and the people are exploited.
@kam_dickson@USAOWTC I believe people put their feelings and thoughts into their art whether consciously or unconsciously & that’s what makes it great..even as a viewer because it gives them a perspective into the artist’s brain as well as learning something about them at the same time.
@USAOWTC#WTCMag
One of the best things about art apart from creating it is the interpretation. Everyone in a gallery could be looking at the same painting but have different perceptions.
I didn’t even know it was him who painted the guy with an apple in front of his face til now
@USAOWTC#WTCRoom
In many cases, factors such as living conditions does have an effect on an individual..economically speaking of course, but to say that that implies why women are poorer than men or that “no woman could equal the genius of Shakespeare” is on a different level.
@arizona_ridgway@USAOWTC He kept saying “there’s time, there’s more time” but he’s gotten so old that he was like “I’m too old anyways, is it really worth it now?”
@USAOWTC#WTCMods
Prufrock is for sure relatable in dating nowadays. Constantly questioning whether if it’s worth meeting someone and wondering if they’re gonna like you.
Also found it funny how he’s insecure with his balding head but then again, I can’t really relate w/that.
@USAOWTC#WTCGrove
“In a Grove” just shows people’s different perceptions and tendencies to fabricate the truth.
I was trying to “solve” the mystery but it was impossible. Maybe it was like the movie “Murder on the Orient Express” and they all did it...but who knows? 🤷♀️🚞🗡
@MccluskeyWt3 I think people do something due to self interest. We do something because we think we get something back in return, maybe not now but in the future. We think we are doing it for someone but I feel like it’s really just a better excuse to make ourselves feel better about it.
@USAOWTC#WTCFreud
This reading just brought me back to my first semester here at USAO when I took ICS. It’s kinda like sitting in the same classroom and watching Dr. Garneau draw the iceberg and then explains the three components: id, ego, superego once again.
@MasHuncho@USAOWTC Not undermine it technically but there’s a correlation involved. Studies show that the more formal education one gets, the less religious they are. There are still other factors that come into play but there’s been studies and statistics that say the same thing.
@USAOWTC#WTCDar
In a way, I can see the correlation between education and religion in this reading. The more education you attain, the less religious you tend to be. Darwin argued that creatures were designed and can adapt by using meticulous methods and not just created.
@VandiverRhylee@USAOWTC
Same for me, but it’s definitely interesting to see what other people thought by reading their tweets. It’s like seeing two sides of the same coin at the same time 🤷♀️
