Watching Korean media being forced to report on BTS and ARIRANG because international reports show that nearly every positive result for the K-pop industry in 2026—an industry that was declining before the comeback—is tied to BTS is honestly hilarious.

And, of course, there’s no mention of how they attacked, minimized, and tried to undermine the comeback in March by questioning public investment in security for a major international event. When I-ARMY criticized them, we were told, as always, “It’s their culture—you just don’t understand.” Well, looking at these headlines now, I really don’t understand.
