Not only do we need more transit and less driving, we need Boston drivers to get better. Pls be rational and stop being assholes, for the love of the gods.
I need you to stop pulling 3/4 into a space and then backing up and then pulling back in.
The worst is when they are pretty much in the space, no issue, but they insist on backing up anyway.
I think I want a dash camera just so I can relay all of the incredibly bad driving moves I see on the road. (Keep in mind, I only drive to do errands I absolutely have to do by car.)
****"The threat of another fare increase should be an alarm bell for the Legislature: new revenue sources are required to replace the historically unstable fare revenue component of the Tโs operating budget"****
If only ppl understood this: "the T has 2 budgets: the operating budget (for paying people, some maintenance, and debt service) and the capital budget (for construction, repair, and most maintenance)." https://t.co/7x6YIqsOzx
"transit agencies need to rely less on fare revenues for operating expenses. This is a structural change in how operating budgets are set... Unless it is resolved, we will have recurring operating budget deficits without regard to post-COVID ridership return."
This December, #GreenLineExtension reached a major milestone as we began running test trains along the newly constructed viaduct and Lechmere Station. With Green Line operator training up next, we continue making great strides toward #BuildingABetterT.

Starbucks has taken their union busting campaign to a new level for the next 3 Buffalo stores preparing for a union election. They changed their strategy from playing the โnice guyโ to waging psychological warfare on partners. Hereโs whatโs going on at the Depew location:
Why are cars allowed in Harvard Square? I know I'm not the 1st to bring this up, but it just leads to problems. Go the way of Florence and numerous other cool cities: districts for ppl.
โI drive 750 miles a week and elected to buy a $150k luxury SUV to make those tripsโ is not gonna generate the sympathy youโre looking for, my dude.
I'm not convinced ppl *want to drive* so much as refuse to take transit. Many others have discussed this, but the paradigm shift required to get ppl in transit is huge. They could be sitting in their phones the whole time!
Evidence suggests the self-driving cars are not ready for prime time and I am fully sympathetic to this concern, but the number of ppl driving out there while looking at their phones is both frustrating and unsafe.
It's true. If parking is a nightmare, I always opt for transit. I suppose this is true in the aggregate, but there are ppl who will drive *anywhere* despite the hellscape of parking (see Back Bay and Harvard Square). I don't understand this sort.
Another life lesson: don't drive to downtown Boston or Cambridge if you're not used to traffic and tight spaces. Just take the goddamn train. I guarantee it will be more pleasant than getting honked at, paying through the nose for parking, or trying to find a space.
In addition to Massholes, we also have this class of driver who overcompensates. Now, it's nice to let one person in, but don't stop traffic to do it and especially don't let 50 ppl in front of you! Sometimes ppl have to wait for a traffic break.
